Artel Presents Munch-key Business

Through August 27

What makes you scream? In his diary Munch wrote “the sun was setting… suddenly the sky turned blood red… there was blood and tongues of fire above the blue-black fjord… I sensed an infinite scream passing through nature.” This description of his inspiration for Der Schrei der Natur (The Scream of Nature) beautifully evokes his creation. In this  juried exhibit, artists render a statement of nature’s fury or something in the nature of man that evokes that primal urge. The Opening reception will be held on Friday, July 30 from 6 - 8 pm. Artel is located at 223 Palafox Place in the Old Escambia County Courthouse. Call 432-3080 for more information.
